Fans’ reactions poured in after reports surfaced on Carolina Panthers’ urgency to trade for Baker Mayfield. The Browns’ quarterback is set for a trade to Carolina Panthers to get him to train during the minicamp. However, how much the teams will be required to pay and his overall salary remains an issue.

Similarly, Twitter fans never hold back when it comes to the NFL, and especially trade talks. Baker‘s record with the Cleveland Browns has been impressive, although last season may have been severely underwhelming in accordance to the standards they set for themselves. He scored 26 touchdowns in 2020 and 17 TDs in the 2021 season.

Panthers have been interested in striking a deal with Cleveland but have been hesitant to pay Mayfield’s full salary. It is estimated to be $18.86 million next season after the Browns exercised the fifth-year option on the quarterback’s rookie contract.

Following the trade talks, the Browns’ HC gave a free pass to Mayfield to miss their minicamp. However, with the camp underway and no trade finalised, it will be difficult for the QB to adjust to a new team with the preseason games starting soon.
