The NFL world recently lost one of its greatest players to ever play in the league. After his record-breaking short stint in the NFL, Brown entered Hollywood as an actor. With appearances in over 30 films, Jim Brown also became a pivotal figure in the civil rights movement back then. The former Cleveland Browns passed away recently at the age of 87 years old in his home in Los Angeles. The news of his death was announced by his wife Mrs. Monique Brown, who took to social media to share the devastating news with fans. Brown is survived by his wife and six children. But somehow ESPN has got in between all this.

While the NFL world mourns the death of the enigmatic running back of the 60s, some fans were left feeling offended by ESPN’s coverage of Jim Brown’s life. And now, they want ESPN to do its part in respecting the late NFL star after posting questionable content hours after his death.

Fans want ESPN to do their part in paying homage to Jim Brown

Jim Brown has made a successful life for himself and his family. But rather than focusing on the achievements of Jim Brown, ESPN took a more controversial route in talking about the alleged accusations that surround the NFL legend’s life.

In a tweet shared by ML Football, it shares a snippet of ESPN’s article that covers the controversies that Brown was allegedly accused of. From alleged sex offenses to assaults, the snippets look like it talks about only the negative controversies that were a part of Brown’s life. ML Football questioned the intention of ESPN, as they wrote in the tweet, “Show some respect to Jim Brown and his family, he just passed away and they are going through the grieving process”.

And it seems like fans were in agreement, as even they reacted to the way ESPN has covered the NFL star’s life.
