NFL disciplinary officer judge Sue Robinson handed the 6-game suspension to Watson. Speaking about it, OJ Simpson said, “She looked at it and came out with a decision. Hey man, that’s it. That should be it. People are saying ‘why would he settle if he was innocent?’ Hey look guys, he’s not gonna change anybody’s mind no matter what he does. He can’t change my mind.”

OJ added, “I think [Watson] probably was out of line with some of the girls and I think some of the girls jumped on board because there was a chance of making money. Plus, the fact that to fight this was going to cost a fortune.”
OJ Simpson later said that the legal fees would have been pretty similar to what Watson paid off during the settlements. As a result, the 26-year-old and his attorney decided that it was the best option available.
The NFL might extend the suspension of Deshaun Watson

It came into light after Calvin Ridley was banned for a whole season due to placing a bet on a game that he didn’t play. The charges against Watson were quite serious. On top of the small suspension, the Cleveland Browns QB1 isn’t losing much money as compared to Ridley.
Considering all this, it is very possible that the league might step in to extend the suspension. Deshaun Watson is good for the TV ratings, but his small suspension will take a hit on the integrity of the league. As a result, Roger Goodell might need to step in pretty soon.
