Former Broncos QB Peyton Manning is a proud uncle. His nephew, Arch Manning, has chosen a path that he once desired. 5-star quarterback Arch Manning has ended the recruiting process early by verbally committing to the Texas Longhorns.

Just like Arch, his uncle too was a star recruit who committed to the University of Tennessee. He then went on to become one of the best players in college history.

Now, as Arch Manning has made his decision, what does the 46-year-old star QB thinks about his nephew’s commitment to the Longhorns? Peyton Manning in an interview said“So, you know, Eli and I just like I said, we’re his uncle, tried to be there as a resource, and our names get brought up a lot because we’re his uncles, but proud of him for the way he’s handled the whole thing.”

18-year-old Arch Manning hails from the Manning football dynasty. Eli Manning and Peyton Manning, both have been legendary quarterbacks. Moreover, Arch Manning’s grandfather, Archie Manning, was also a former QB who played most of his seasons with the New Orleans Saints

Arch Manning comes from a legendary football family and has his full support from his two uncles. Manning further said, “And I did have a conversation with him last week after he made his last visit, just because he asked about the sort of when I made my decision. And I just remember as soon as I got back from my last visit, I announced what I was going two days later because I knew when you know, you know, and there’s no point in dragging it out and creating some drama.”

The 46-year-old former Broncos quarterback had a conversation with his nephew and shared his experience with him. Peyton thinks he is glad that Arch made this decision. Also, he thinks as Arch Manning continues his football journey, he will make good relationships along the way.

Manning was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the 1998 NFL draft and played 13 seasons for them. He also played four seasons with the Denver Broncos.

Arch Manning played at the prestigious New Orleans private school Isidore Newman, where Archie Manning’s three sons studied. Arch’s father, Cooper Manning, was an emerging WR during high school. Sadly, his spinal injuries ended his hopes of playing in the big league. But, his son has kept his dream alive and is following the footsteps of his two uncles, who are 2-times Super Bowl champs.
