Patrick Mahomes now offers real-life perks for the buyers

The reigning league MVP first dropped his NFT back in 2021, following his first Lombardy. Those collections were put up in ‘MakersPlace’, a widely known NFT marketplace. The company became famous after the artist ‘Beeple’ auctioned a piece of his art for $69.3 million. Mahomes also made a huge sum from his own collections, worth $3.7 million. Those NFTs carried the 2x MVP’s branding, called, “Museum of Mahomes”. Meanwhile, his announcement carries the same branding with exciting offers, even for the previous owners.

Very recently Mahomes took to Twitter, to post a QR code, and welcome everyone to his new venture. He also mentioned that the countdown has started for the kick-off in the tweet. The QR code present on the tweet leads to the project’s official website, where one individual can submit their email for future notifications. According to an article by Decrypt, the debut will take place in September. It also mentions that these NFTs will offer physical trading cards, autographed jerseys, and more.

It also mentioned that the collection will span over 15000 NFTs, with exciting offers for the previous owners under the same branding.

Mahomes’ venture is for a good cause

Reports indicate that the piece of proceeds from his upcoming event will be donated to the 2x MVP’s own foundation, “15 and the Mahomes Foundation”. It positively impacts children in need across diverse communities nationwide. The NFL star first brought up this newest venture while appearing on CNBC’s “The Exchange” in March.

There are still announcements to be made about the project, as there’s no update on the collectible’s price tags or even the platform, where the NFTs will be minted.

Mahomes’ announcement came with mixed reactions, as the crypto and NFT markets have been fairly volatile for the past years. People have lost their life savings, and celebrities and athletes alike were even sued for their collaboration.
