When the Denver Broncos signed Russell Wilson, they hoped that he will finally ignite some fire in the team this season. But things haven’t turned out that way for them. The Broncos’ Country isn’t really fond of the QB. The fans are blaming him for the broadcasters moving the matchup with Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs.

The Broncos will take on the Chiefs at home in week 14 of the season. But the game will not be played in prime time.

Fans blame Russell Wilson

The Chiefs announced on Twitter that their game against the Broncos has got a new time slot. The game will kick off in the unfavorable time slot of the afternoon instead of prime time on Sunday Night Football in week 14.

Patrick Mahomes, one of the biggest stars of the NFL not playing during prime time? The NFL World found it difficult to believe. And they only have one person to blame. The Broncos QB Russell Wilson. Many fans reacted to the news and concluded that the shift has something to do with the Broncos having a bad season.

The Seattle Seahawks traded Russell Wilson to the Broncos after the 2021 season. The Broncos signed him in exchange for multiple future draft picks to become a force in their division, which is ruled by the Chiefs. But Wilson has had a rough start to life in Denver.

Wilson has played 10 games so far this season but hasn’t really lit up the league as the Broncos would have expected. The QB has thrown 2,369 yards so far in the current season with 198 completions. His pass completion rate stands at 58.9%. Wilson has thrown eight touchdown passes so far, but the opposing defenses have intercepted five of his 336 pass attempts.

The Broncos have won just three out of the 11 games they have played up till now. They are fourth in the AFC West division. Can Wilson prove everyone wrong and mount a late charge with the Broncos?
