Aaron Rodgers has faith

The Packers overcame the Vikings pretty easily in the end. And with the win, the franchise has made its path to the playoffs simple. But until recently, the team was down and out. Aaron Rodgers had just three words to explain how he turned the season around.

“I have faith,” Rodgers said in the post-game presser. “Much like four and six I think in 16. Sometimes you gotta fool yourself a little bit into believing a little bit more. But I definitely had faith. I was gonna go down scrapping, for sure,” the Packers QB said about the turnaround.

Rodgers then talked about his belief system. He said that if one believes in something strongly, some miraculous things can happen. Much like what happened with the Packers.

“But I do believe in the power of manifestation, and I do believe in momentum. I believe strongly in the force of the mind. And when you start to believe something strongly then some miraculous things can happen,” the back-to-back league MVP said.

The Packers were 4-8 after twelve games before their season took a turn for the better. And Rodgers played most of the season with injuries.

A miraculous turnaround

Twelve games into the season, the Packers were bruised, battered, and almost out of playoff contention. They faced a mountain to climb if they wanted to make something out of the season. And defying everybody’s expectations, the Packers have almost reached the summit.

Well, they aren’t there yet. But a simple win against the Detroit Lions in the last game of the regular season would do the trick for them. And with the kind of form they have shown recently, the task isn’t daunting anymore.

Aaron Rodgers has thrown four touchdown passes in the last four games and led the team to a victory in all of them. Punt returner Keisean Nixon has become a real threat to any opposition. Even against the Vikings, Nixon gave the Packers momentum early with a mind-boggling 105-yard touchdown on a kickoff return.

Can the Packers overcome the final hurdle next game week? The fans are waiting with bated breath.
