Colin Kaepernick’s Agent Fires Back At NFL Legend After Comments On QB’s Workout With The Raiders Go Viral

Former Niners QB Colin Kaepernick played his last NFL season in 2016. It has been almost six years, and Kaepernick still stands as a free agent. Last month, Kaepernick did a workout session with the Las Vegas Raiders, and the NFL world is hoping to see his return to professional football soon.
Recently, former NFL star Warren Sapp commented on Kaepernick’s performance during the workouts and called it a disaster. Sapp said, “No, I heard it was a disaster. I heard it was one of the worst workouts ever. I’m wondering how in the hell this happened, and the tape didn’t get out, right?”

Well, Colin Kaepernick’s agent Jeff Nalley fired back at Sapp and said, “I guess Warren didn’t talk to the General Manager or the head coach. I spoke to the G.M. [Dave Zieger] several times, and he said they all thought Kap was in great shape and threw the ball well and encouraged any team to call him about the workout and he would tell them the same. I’m surprised Warren would say that because it’s not true and you would think he would want Kap on a team.”
Nalley said he was in direct contact with the Raiders’ GM Dave Zieger, who thinks Kaepernick is in great shape. Zieger also said more teams should approach Kap for the workouts and was impressed by his throw.
Will the future of Colin Kaepernick see him backing up Derek Carr?
There have been positive reviews coming out from the Raiders workout aside from Warren Sapp’s comment. Even the Raiders’ starting quarterback was excited to be on the same team with Colin Kaepernick and said they both will get along well if he makes it to the team.
Seven-time Pro Bowler Warren Sapp has played 13-seasons for teams like Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Oakland Raiders. After retiring from football, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2013.

In 2020, Kaepernick expressed his desire to play in the league, and the NFL allowed him to make a comeback if any team signs a deal with the QB. No NFL club approached Kaepernick and most recently, the Raiders are the ones to show interest in him. If the Las Vegas Raiders sign a deal with Kaepernick, he will be the backup QB to Derek Carr.
