During his segment on NFL Live, Griffin was expanding on Gronk and his abilities, stating, “Just the fun he brought to the game. I will go one step further. He was so much fun for the fans. They fell in love with him… I know there are a lot of fans out there that are sad. They are not gonna be able to see any more Gronk spikes. Me, as a QB, never had Gronk. But this guy could stretch the field, and he could do everything you can ask a TE to do, make contested catches.

Griffin further adds, “I can also tell you how many times Tom Brady threw a pass to Gronk and had no chance to catch it, and somehow Gronk found a way to make that play. That type of player is priceless, and he can block his tail off as a TE. I do think he is the greatest TE ever…” It was high praise for the 4-time Super Bowl champion, who leaves the game with many memorable moments over the years.
