Former Baltimore Ravens quarterback Robert Griffin III recently opened up about where former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski ranks among the top NFL players in the position. The recent comments from Griffin come following Gronk’s retirement announcement by his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. The former Ravens QB believes that the fans will surely miss watching his dominance on the football field in 2022.

During his segment on NFL Live, Griffin was expanding on Gronk and his abilities, stating, “Just the fun he brought to the game. I will go one step further. He was so much fun for the fans. They fell in love with him… I know there are a lot of fans out there that are sad. They are not gonna be able to see any more Gronk spikes. Me, as a QB, never had Gronk. But this guy could stretch the field, and he could do everything you can ask a TE to do, make contested catches.

Griffin further adds, “I can also tell you how many times Tom Brady threw a pass to Gronk and had no chance to catch it, and somehow Gronk found a way to make that play. That type of player is priceless, and he can block his tail off as a TE. I do think he is the greatest TE ever…” It was high praise for the 4-time Super Bowl champion, who leaves the game with many memorable moments over the years.
