It’s no secret that Tom Brady is planning to prove all his doubters wrong this year. The veteran NFL quarterback’s unprecedented move to Tampa Bay Buccaneers is not just a mission to make one big pay-check.

Even at the age of 42, Mr. NFL, Tom Brady, is motivated to show that he still has the ‘X-Factor’ in him.

Maurice Jones-Drew, Former Jacksonville Jaguars and Oakland Raiders player, feels the same. During a recent segment of Good Morning Football, Maurice spoke about how Tom Brady’s arrival in Florida could impact the performance of the Bucs heading into the 2020 season.

Former Jacksonville Jaguars player picks Tom Brady over Patrick Mahomes

On GMFB, the three-time Pro Bowler was asked to pick between Tom Brady and reigning Super Bowl LIV MVP, Patrick Mahomes. Here’s what he said.

“That’s tough but imma go with Tom. He (Tom Brady) is gonna thrash 2007. I think he’s gonna throw 55 touchdowns, 45 hundred yards passing, probably close to five thousand.

The New England Patriots and Tom Brady had a stellar 2007 season. Under Bill Belichick, the Patriots became the first team in NFL history to go undefeated in the 16-game regular season that year.

Tom Brady, in particular, played one of the greatest seasons by a quarterback in 2007.

Brady threw for 4,806 passing yards, 50 TDs with only eight interceptions. He became the first quarterback to breach the 50 TD landmark surpassing long-time rival Peyton Manning, who scored 49 in 2005.

The only thing missing for Brady and the Patriots that year was a Super Bowl trophy at the end of the post-season.

It will be interesting to see if the six-time Super Bowl winner can match those standards in Tampa Bay this year. Agreed, age is not on his side at this point in time.

However, the ‘Comeback kid’ has proved time and again that age is just a number in his case.
