The former New England Patriots RB is currently the CEO of the minor league football organization ‘Rivals Professional Football League’. It was Hines’ talent recruitment agency that hosted the event in question at Mount Clemens High School. A scantily clad woman came to the event and performed, reports say.

“I don’t think she was a stripper. She was one of her dancers that was underdressed, and it’s unfortunate,” Hines said.

“I did not know that someone would come that underdressed to dance with him,” he added.

There were no students present during the event as the school wasn’t the host. Hines has apologized for the incident but vowed to continue working for up-and-coming artists from various backgrounds.

Ban on Hines’ organization

The superintendent of the Mount Clemens Community Schools has come out with a statement regarding the event at Mount Clemens High. The school board has banned Hines’ organization from using the school facilities in the future. She has also promised a review of the matter.

“The Mount Clemens Community Schools’ Board of Education and Administration are deeply shocked, disappointed, and disgusted by the inappropriate events that took place,” Superintendent Monique Beels said in the statement.

She also said that there was no reason to believe anything like this would happen as Hines’ organization has used the facilities in the past. She said such an issue never arose in the past. A stadium in Pontiac, Michigan was the original venue for the event. The High School hosted the event after it had to be moved from the original venue.

The Patriots had rostered Hines in 2013 but he never featured in the NFL. He remained on the injured reserve list throughout the 2013-14 season. Despite not playing, he came very close to a title as the Patriots lost the AFC championship game that year. The 2014 Super Bowl runners-up Denver Broncos defeated the Patriots to lift the AFC championship title. The Broncos then went on to lose the Super Bowl game to the Seattle Seahawks.
