The New York Jets used their overall 2nd pick to select Wilson as a direct replacement for Sam Darnold. In doing so, they are now working towards establishing themselves as a major attacking threat in the AFC East.

He said, “I think Joe Douglas jets and, you know, Saleh, Robert Saleh, they did a hell of a job again, picking Zach Wilson, you know, to be the guy to start tearing that organization. And then you know that, like I said, with that kind of a draft, and then and you trade aggressively and I’m all about aggressive trading in this league man.”

“It has changed. A lot of people used to sit back and you have a lot different group of general managers I feel who know the urgency of not for long, them moving up to 14 to get Alijah Vera-Tucker, to me was a really good, really good pick for them to come away in a draft to have a quarterback and a protector. It’s somewhat similar,” Dimitroff said on the show.
