Recently, Doug Whaley appeared on Sirius XM NFL Radio, where he said“This is one of those teams where the way it’s constructed is, ‘We’re all-in with Tom, and then when Tom leaves, we’re going to have to start from Square 1. Everybody likes to say, well, we’re going to reload. I think it’s going to be a teardown and let’s rebuild.”

Doug Whaley thinks Buccaneers are all about Tom Brady, and the team got stronger when Tom became a part of their roster. Bucs may look stronger this season, but when Tom leaves, they will be back to where they were before 2021.

Tom Brady signed a deal with Tampa Bay Buccaneers after playing 20 seasons for New England Patriots. While playing his first season for Tampa Bay, he led the team to the Super Bowl and defeated Kansas City Chiefs by 31-9. This was their 2nd Super Bowl win in the franchise history, having won their first Super Bowl in 2003.

Well, Whaley did mention that he is not sure whether Brady will retire after this season. But he thinks the Buccaneers will have to make great efforts after the legendary QB retires. There is a fair chance that Brady might play for the next four years. But there are many NFL analysts who want GM Licht to prove himself after Brady’s era comes to an end.
