Lamar Jackson is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL presently. The Ravens’ star has consistently been one of the top performers in the league.

Jackson has solidified his status as one of the best in the league over the past few years, but now, it appears it is time for him to get paid that way. But there is one quality that people seem to ignore about Lamar Jackson.

Jackson has been one of the best players in the NFL in the past few years, including being a unanimous MVP a few seasons ago.

“Sign him to a long-term deal. Lamar Jackson should be the second-highest-paid quarterback in the NFL. This dude was a unanimous MVP, a fantastic football player.

“Even last year with all the Baltimore Ravens had to deal with COVID and guys being out, he starts to pick it up at the end of the season.”

Burleson added that Jackson showed everyone this season how good he can be. Furthermore, he wanted to address the narrative surrounding Jackson.

Burleson couldn’t comprehend how people think that Lamar Jackson is not considered a good passer. He compared the statistics of Jackson and Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

“He reminded us of how good he is. I hate this narrative of ‘let’s wait and see if he can become a better passer.’ How about we just look at the numbers?

Burleson believes that there is no justification for the narrative about Jackson’s passing. He noted that people take Jackson’s passing for granted, especially given how good he is as a rusher.

He urged that Baltimore Ravens to pay him with a long-term deal so that they don’t lose the former MVP.

”Where is this narrative that Lamar Jackson can’t throw the ball? I think we’re so caught up with how great he is when he leaves the pocket, that we don’t respect that he is one of the best passers in the NFL.

“Pay him now, because he still is the unanimous MVP of a few seasons ago.”
