Cleveland Browns might have made the perfect move with the Deshaun Watson acquisition from the Houston Texans. While the blockbuster deal has led to contrasting reactions among the fans, a recent hot take from a former NFL player could turn heads. It could vindicate the faith that the Browns’ front office has put on Watson since agreeing to the trade.

In a recent YouTube Shorts clip by former Cincinnati Bengals QB Jordan Palmer, the Browns were given a refresher brief about Watson. He shares with fans some of the finest moments from Watson’s rise to fame in professional football. The former NFL QB believes that the franchise knows what they are doing, and fans could be in for a surprise.

While talking about Watson in the clip, Palmer states, “This guy has been a winner every step of the way…But I think this is the best team Deshaun has ever played on. This is the best O-line he has ever played with, and this is the best run-game he has ever had. Again in 2020, led the NFL in passing, and I bet you can’t name two wideouts. This is still an upgraded passing core and a lot of opportunities to build around him.

The former Clemson Tigers QB was sensational in his sophomore and junior years with the team. In his 3 seasons with the team, Watson finished with a 33-5 win-loss record in his college years. His efforts led him to get drafted to the NFL with the 12th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
