The Redblacks were the first to break the news on Friday evening. “I’d like to thank the REDBLACKS for bringing me to Ottawa and giving me this opportunity. I have gained a lot of respect for the CFL and its fans – particularly RNation! I’m excited to see what the future holds, but I know that the next chapter in my life is going to be fun,” Hodges said in his statement. Hodges, who broke the FCS record for passing yards, was brought by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2019.
Thank you and we wish you the best in retirement, Duck.

While Ben Roethlisberger (retired), who happened to be the signal-caller and backup Mason Rudolph, was suffering from injuries, Hodges got his chance to take the charge. However, he could only play for six games with the Steelers.
Interestingly, the QB received just $1,000 to join the Steelers after he impressed as a rookie at a minicamp tryout. Out of the six starts for the team, Hodges won three of them by completing 100 of 160 passes for 1,063 yards with five touchdowns and eight interceptions.

Hodges played for the Los Angeles Rams after his stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers
The young quarterback spent his entire 2020 season with the Pittsburgh’s practice squad. Later, he signed a one-year reserve/future contract with the Los Angeles Rams; however, the star was released before the start of the season. Later, he tried his hands with the New York Giants & New England Patriots but couldn’t bag a deal with either of the teams.

Well, for the question, what’s next? The QB hasn’t revealed anything about his future. Earlier this March, Hodges launched a duck hunting podcast.
“You can expect a lot of fun things on this podcast. We’re going to bring a lot of knowledge as well — try to make everyone a better hunter,” said Hodges during episode 1. Indeed, it was an unexpected decision from his side; further updates on the matter are yet to come.
