Ever since Jackson’s draft, he has been at the center of criticism. Many observers question his throwing abilities and do not think he is on par with other QBs. Although Lamar Jackson gives his response on the field, a former Ravens cornerback has come out in defense.

In a battle of opinions on ESPN, the ex-cornerback dished out all the unfair opinions surrounding Jackson. First, he accused people of criticizing the Ravens’ QB for having a confirmation bias. Moreover, he feels people do not understand that it is okay to be wrong.

Previously, Bernard Pollard and Lamar Jackson engaged in a Twitter feud after Pollard snapped back at him. Pollard called the QB out for having a terrible throw and players not wanting to join the Ravens because of him. Jackson had his way of hitting out and shutting down the Twitter feud.

The former Ravens cornerback, Domonique Foxworth, extended his support to Lamar Jackson. He points out the difference in the performance of the Ravens after Jackson joined the team. The cornerback feels that Jackson is a better QB than people estimate him to be.

What did Foxworth say about Lamar Jackson on ESPN?

Foxworth talked about whether LJ is unfairly criticized. He said, “I absolutely think he is. I think the problem is about confirmation bias. It’s okay to say you were wrong. I was wrong about Josh Allen. I thought he was bad. But now if you put him no. 1 on that list, I wouldn’t argue with it…”

The former CB added, “Why can’t anyone do this with Lamar Jackson because when he was drafted there was some people who said he can’t be a quarterback. Okay, then the Ravens are what 4 in 5, they drop him in and they go 6 in 1. The only game they lost was the overtime game with Kansas City.”

While he supported Jackson, there were multiple people against him as well. Nevertheless, the 2019 MVP has a point to prove again in the upcoming season, and Foxworth would hope that LJ does it in a befitting fashion.
