Yesterday, the San Francisco 49ers beat the Rams, and their star player Christian McCaffrey displayed a scintillating performance. In that game, the Niners running back pretty much did it all to get his team an important win. After the matchup, his teammates and head coach praised McCaffrey massively for his performance. 

Meanwhile, former Ravens quarterback Robert Griffin III recently talked about the Niners and their chances of winning the Super Bowl this year. He also believes that adding McCaffrey to their team has increased their chances massively.

During a recent show on ESPN, Griffin said, “Christian McCaffrey, is in my opinion the exception to the rule when you talk about can a guy in the running back position, can you run the offense through him and actually win the Super Bowl? I think Christian McCaffrey can. He makes everybody’s job easier.”

Then Griffin further talked about how to stop McCaffrey, as he said, “When you think about how do you stop a running back? You load the box. But ask yourself, how do you stop Christian McCaffrey? It’s not that simple. The only thing that stopped Christian McCaffrey over the course of his career has been injuries.”

Later, the former QB explained how McCaffrey’s versatility can help the team win the Super Bowl. “His versatility is going to open up things for Deebo (Samuel), Kido (Lopez), (Brandon)Aiyuk and make Jimmy Garoppolo’s job a lot easier. And we talked about how everything has to be right for Jimmy G to help you win the fight. Well, Christian McCaffrey gives him another hook shot, and he’s a big one,” he further said. 

McCaffrey had one of the best games of the season against the Rams

Earlier, his trade from the Panthers to the 49ers shocked the entire NFL. Although McCaffrey lost his first game for the Niners, he bounced back with a tremendous performance against the Rams. In this game, he recorded one receiving touchdown, one rushing touchdown, and one passing touchdown. Certainly, he did it all against LA, as the Niners won the game by 31-14.

Currently, the Niners are second in the NFC West after winning 4 games and losing the same number of games. Despite standing in the second position, they have a great chance to qualify for the playoffs. Moreover, many fans and experts believe they are the only team who can compete with the Bills and the Chiefs for the Super Bowl title.
