The Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered yet another setback this season. This time it was the Kansas City Chiefs that bested the Bruce Arians-led Buccaneers. Once again, the major talking point was the souring relationship between Tom Brady and Bruce Arians.

The loss to the Chiefs was attributed to Arians’ reluctance to listen to his star quarterback. Additionally, Arians has been publically critical of Tom Brady.

“I see Bruce Arians… We made an assumption. The assumption was that you’re going to put your player in the best position to be successful.”

Ryan was befuddled at Bruce Arians’ reluctance to play Tom Brady’s signature brand of offense. He said that the team being well into December is a concern.

“You would go and say, ‘Okay Brady, we’re going to run your offense’. They don’t do that. I don’t care what people say. Here we are, getting ready to play in December, they’re still not running Tom Brady’s offense.”

Ryan also talked about the fact that Arians has become a risk-free coach. Arians doesn’t need to have any complications and just focus on coaching, according to him.

“Bruce Arians was a heck of a football coach. The worst thing that has happened to Bruce Arians was when the ‘no-risk-it, no-biscuit’ caught fire.

“Now, he’s into this, ‘This is who I am’ and all that stuff. Man, you were a great football coach. It wasn’t about your hat, it wasn’t about your slogan or any of that other BS.”

Ryan recommended Arians to put Brady in the best position to succeed so that the team can turn this around. “Go back to doing what you would do.

“Put your player in the best possible situation. Tom Brady, we’re running your offense. Because you’ve had more success than we’ve ever had, as coaches or anything else. To me, that’s the biggest disappointment.”

The Buccaneers will need to turn their season around soon. They play the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. It will be interesting to see if Brady and Arians can get on the same page to emerge triumphant.
