The move to the Big Apple has transformed Aaron Rodgers. Ever since stepping foot in New York, Rodgers has slowly transitioned into a party animal and training beast. The excursion with his friends at the Taylor Swift concert is just one of the exhibits of his outgoing nature. But he has made efforts towards maintaining his professionalism and has been training quite well with and away from the Jets.

But it may all be for naught as the Jets seemed to have been ruled out before kicking the first ball. A former teammate of Tom Brady, Ndamukong Suh, has struck the Jets off of the list of potential Super Bowl candidates.

The Jets not a good enough contender for the Lombardi?

After going almost a decade without a Super Bowl appearance, Ndamukong Suh may have gained expertise in determining who has a shot at the Super Bowl. The free agent has been part of 3 of the last five Super Bowls. He made an appearance with the Rams in 2018, winning with the Bucs in ’21, and another Super Bowl appearance with the Eagles last year.

The DE has written off the Jets from his potential destination as he does not believe in their offense. While talking to the Rich Eisen show back in April 2023, Suh admits he is looking to get back into the game. He is looking for the perfect fit and is not afraid to wait till October to make a move. As he waits for the right team to come in and convince him that they can challenge for another ring with him on their roster.

The New York Jets may hold an elite defense alongside the legendary A-Rod in the team. But their offense concerns Suh and is one of the reasons he is not favoring a move to the Jets. Suh claims the Jets needs to undergo serious changes to be considered a Super Bowl contender. Although Robert Saleh may disagree with the DE’s stance. The past couple of months have left a tricky predicament with the preseason weeks away.

With the new NFL season at least a month away, the Jets have already been handed their share of troubles. Losing their starting TE in Chuck Clark forced the Jets into the market. As they swiftly tried to bring in cover for the position with Adrian Amos joining the side. But he did not get the opportunity to train with his new teammates because of the canceled minicamp.

Alongside their injury headaches, the new OC and former collaborator of Rodgers will be a unique proposition. As the burden to perform may fall on the shoulder of the former Packers man. With A-Rod looking to win his second Super Bowl, he has his work cut out with less than 2 months from the season opener on the calendar. Ndamukong Suh has his feelings clear towards the Jets as he does not rate them to go ahead. Whether Suh is proven wrong by Rodgers and the Jets come February, we’ll have to wait and see.
