Former Top NFL WR Not Interested in Playing For Dwayne Johnson Led XFL; Desires Executive Role

The XFL might give the NFL a run for its money in the near future. Under the owner of Dwayne Johnson, this new era of football is sure to be electrifying. A lot of big NFL names are trying to jump ship to the new, and rising football league. A former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant also wants in on the action but not on the field.
Bryant wants to be a part of the advisory board. The former NFL receiver does not wish to play in the Xtreme Football League. Getting him as an executive could be beneficial for the young league.

Dez Bryant in the NFL
The Dallas Cowboys drafted Dez Bryant in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft. He was one of the star wide receivers in the draft that year. Currently a free agent, Bryant has spent 10 years in the league. The athlete played with the Cowboys for seven seasons from 2010 to 2017. Then he spent a season with the New Orleans Saints before moving to Baltimore Ravens in 2020.

Bryant has been selected for the Pro Bowl three times. He was picked in the 2013, 2014, and 2016 seasons. The wide receiver was a First-team All-Pro in 2014. He also became the NFL receiving touchdowns leader in the same season. It seems like 2014 was very successful for Dez Bryant.

The WR was let go after spending a year in Baltimore. He currently is a free agent, but he still has a lot of football left in him. Many suggested Bryant move to the resurrected XFL, but he said he was simply, “Too Good” for the league.

The chairman of WWE Vince McMahon originally founded the Xtreme Football League. But unfortunately, the league was unable to find a solid foundation and soon went bankrupt. In 2020 Dwayne Johnson purchased the XFL and announced that the league will make its comeback in the spring of 2022.

Dez Bryant, a former NFL star, appears to be interested in a position as an executive. He tweeted, “I wanna consult and be apart of the advisory board” Bryant adds, “I don’t wanna play.. XFL has great potential.” The XFL does have potential and could rival the NFL in the coming season. Getting Dez onboard could help the league. He has a good eye for talent and could bring some hard-hitters to the teams.
