They fired Nathaniel Hackett after 15 games. The franchise is now looking for a new HC, and an American diplomat has entered the team’s search group.

Following some seismic shifts, many expected the Broncos to shine this season. The inclusions of Nathaniel Hackett and Russell Wilson heightened the exuberance to new heights. However, the team has endured some of its worst seasons to date. Following a significant shift in the coaching staff, the team is pressing the reset button, and Condoleezza Rice has joined the search for the next head coach.

As per NFL Insider Jonathan Jones, the Broncos have a famed personality looking for the franchise’s new HC. He tweeted, “Condoleezza Rice will be part of the Broncos search for a new head coach because she’s a part owner of the Broncos.”

Condoleezza Rice’s inclusion in the Broncos’ quest for the next coach may appear as an unusual choice. She was Secretary of State under President George W. Bush from 2005 to 2009. Rice is the team’s minority owner after joining the ownership group following the franchise’s deal this year.

Jerry Rosburg was the franchise’s senior assistant and worked under Nathaniel Hackett. The former head coach hired him during the season to help with the clock management strategy. His previous NFL experience was as the Ravens’ special teams coordinator, which he held from 2008 to 2018. With them, Rosburg won Super Bowl XLVII.

While Jerry Rosburg lacks head coaching experience, he will now take over for the Broncos’ final two games.
