Damar Hamlin had a chat with former NFL defensive end Michael Strahan in an interview for FOX during their Super Bowl coverage. During the interview, Strahan asked him about the possibility and the timeframe of his return to the football field.

“Eventually. That’s always the goal, like I said, as a competitor, you know, I’m trying to do things to keep advancing my situation,” Hamlin told Strahan, as reported by ESPN.

But the Bills’ safety then pivoted towards his gratefulness for the second lease of life he has got. So according to Hamlin, he is putting his return in the hands of God.

Damar Hamlin went down after a tackle with the Bengals WR Tee Higgins. Medics quickly realized the gravity of the situation and rushed onto the field. They took him to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he recovered from cardiac arrest. The fans and players spent the next few days in anxiety after the league called the game off.

While Hamlin is in a much better state, attending games and going about his life, nobody would want him to rush back on the field. Hope is that he makes a full recovery and lights up the league with his usual self.
