Damar Hamlin had a chat with former NFL defensive end Michael Strahan in an interview for FOX during their Super Bowl coverage. During the interview, Strahan asked him about the possibility and the timeframe of his return to the football field.

“Eventually. That’s always the goal, like I said, as a competitor, you know, I’m trying to do things to keep advancing my situation,” Hamlin told Strahan, as reported by ESPN.

But the Bills’ safety then pivoted towards his gratefulness for the second lease of life he has got. So according to Hamlin, he is putting his return in the hands of God.

“But I’m allowing that to be in God’s hands. I’m just thankful he gave me a second chance,” Hamlin added.

So, the safety did not put a deadline on his return to the field. But the mere suggestion that he is thinking about it is enough for the fans to rejoice. Prayers have come in for the young player ever since that fateful day in Cincinnati. And the NFL world still looks back at his injury with a sense of horror.
