The Green Bay Packers superstar Aaron Rodgers has claimed the honor he was so very confident about. The 38-year-old quarterback bagged his fourth NFL MVP accolade dominantly, and Thursday was just his night to celebrate. He couldn’t be more humble about winning the honor. 

The moment he took the stage, he simply admired the award presenter, Peyton Manning, for his mesmerizing legacy in the league. Rodgers stated how the five-time NFL MVP winner, has inspired a whole generation of players, including him. It was such a heartfelt moment for the NFL legend to hear those kind words from the 2021 MVP.

“First, I gotta say it’s an honor to share the stage with Peyton Manning,” Rodgers said“A man who’s won this award five times. You’ve inspired a generation of quarterbacks myself including buddy.”

The two beasts have been a dominant force in the league. Peyton Manning, during his days in the NFL, has earned a glorifying spot among the elite quarterbacks. His incredible resume is included among the all-time best.

Manning has two Super Bowls, five-time NFL MVPs, two-time Offensive Player of the Year, named in 14 Pro Bowls, and seven-time first-team All-Pro, among several other achievements during his 18-year career in the NFL. 

His resume is just the essence of his athleticism. In reality, he used to be one beast of a player, just like Aaron Rodgers. The Packers star has proved his worth this season. Though he had his share of issues with the franchise, he did not let it come in the way of his performance in the gridiron.

He totaled 37 touchdowns for just four interceptions, covering 4,115 yards and completing 68.9% of his passes in 16 games played this season. Rodgers displayed his exceptional abilities to take care of the ball. Out of those four interceptions, two came in his season starter against the Saints. And he did not throw an interception after his Week 10 game against the Russell Wilson-led Seahawks.

Rodgers was pretty confident in his stance as the favorite contender for the NFL MVP award. He even showed off his confidence during the WM Phoenix Open 2022 on Wednesday by correcting the PA, who at first introduced the quarterback as a three-time NFL MVP.

Now that he has won the honor and shared kind words for the Packers, the question lies that will he remain with the franchise? Or will he set out to explore more teams after 17 years in Green Bay?
