Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen first met in 2006 through a mutual friend. The two seemed to hit it off and started dating quickly after that. In 2009, the QB proposed the supermodel and after a month long engagement; the duo tied the knot in the same year. For the better part of the last decade, they seemed to be the ‘it’ couple of the NFL as Brady thrived in the league and always had the pillar of his family behind him. However, one can only imagine the surprise on the fan’s faces when the couple announced their divorce in October 2022. Whatever the case may be, Bündchen once highlighted the two qualities of Tom that really helped the model in her life, as well.

The 42-year-old Brazilian bombshell is not only famous for her catwalks. She holds a NY Times bestseller author accolade under her belt as well. In her memoir, Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life, the model has highlighted the journey she went through in her life to become the person she is now. She has given a fair share of the credit to her former husband as well.

“When I chose Tom to be my life partner, I was fortunate to find a man calmer than he is stormy.” Gisele wrote in her book. “As his teammates will tell you, Tom is someone you can count on. It’s a quality that I hadn’t experienced in any of my other romantic relationships. I love my husband and most of all I trust him with Tom, who provides a family the stable foundation I’m able to create a home.”

A tale where she tells us about the time their son Benjamin dislocated his shoulder shows her point. At that moment Gisele, was by her own admission, was rather frantic until Tom came home. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers‘ QB then took control of the situation with a calm and steady approach.

“Tom’s stability and steadiness gives me the space and freedom I need to fly and the little bird inside me knows and Tom likes to remind me that she’s held tightly to a slender invisible string that he keeps deep in one of his pockets.”

But the fairy tale has now ended after 13 years of marriage. However, both of them have maintained a similar narrative of an amicable divorce between them. They have again and again reaffirmed that their attention will be go to their children, 10-year-old Vivian and 12-year-old Benjamin.
