The Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been busy for the past couple of months. He dedicated his very little free time in the offseason to honing his golf skills. Despite the demanding schedule of OTAs, Mahomes couldn’t resist the urge to hit the practice court alongside his teammate, the talented Travis Kelce. So, it’s no wonder that their relentless efforts paid off splendidly.

Does Patrick Mahomes have a new competition on the horizon?

Since his draft in 2019, Jones has shown tremendous potential and has been making waves in the NFL. After winning the Super Bowl MVP in his first year in the league, Jones’ performance experienced a temporary dip for a year or two. However, his last year’s performance was exceptionally better, putting him in the right direction. After being ranked dead last as a QB, he fought his way through to the 4th position with his undying dedication. But Jones isn’t just a threat to Mahomes only on the football field.

The New York Giants recently shared an awe-inspiring video on their official Instagram page featuring an impressive display by Jones. In the clip, the Super Bowl MVP flawlessly sinks four consecutive shots, one after the other, showcasing his remarkable putting skills. Adding to the spectacle, he accomplishes this feat effortlessly while donning his iconic football attire. With a confident stride, he gracefully walks off the frame after his triumphant putting performance.

While Jones’ recent putting display is undeniably impressive and deserving of applause, it is worth noting that there is currently no recorded evidence of him engaging in head-to-head competitions or facing off against other players. In contrast, Mahomes has already participated in ‘The Match’ for a second time, showcasing his prowess on the golf course and convincingly besting NBA athletes.

Other athletes in the league, such as Tom Brady, and even Aaron Rodgers, have also shown exceptional skills on the golf court and defeated Mahomes in a previous edition of ‘The Match‘. So it’s safe to say that the Giants’ QB has far to go in terms of catching up with the players from his own league.

Jones has undoubtedly established himself as a hidden gem in terms of his football skills. However, the future remains uncertain whether he will hone his golf abilities to the point of rivaling accomplished athletes like Mahomes and Curry.
