The Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB’s retirement is something that the entire world of sports is eyeing. In February, the NFL GOAT announced to the world his news of retirement. Many fans were sad when they learned the news. But Tom Brady shocked the world again when he unretired only after 41 days.

Even though the seven-times Super-Bowl winning QB wants to play football as long as possible, his supermodel wife, Gisele Bündchen, seems to have a different opinion.

Currently, Tom Brady is the oldest player in the league. His age has always been a part of many conversations. One of those conversations was with his wife, who spoke about it in an interview in 2017 when Brady was about 40 years old.

When she was asked about her husband’s retirement; this is what she had to say, “I just have to say, as a wife, as you know (the NFL) is not the most, let’s say, unaggressive sport…He has concussions pretty much every…I mean we don’t talk about it. But he has concussions and I don’t really think it’s a healthy thing for your body to go through.

“You know, that kind of aggression all the time, that cannot be healthy for you. I’m planning on having him be healthy and do a lot of fun things when we’re like 100 I hope.”

Did Tom Brady suffer concussions during his time with the Patriots?

In the interview, Gisele Bündchen speaks of how frequent concussions are for players like Tom Brady. They certainly are unhealthy for a person. This statement was looked into gravely. However, USA TODAY Sports found out that the MVP winner never missed out on any games due to concussions.

They said, “There are no records that indicate that Mr. Brady suffered a head injury or concussion, or exhibited or complained of concussion symptoms. Today we have been in contact with the NFLPA and will work together to gather more information from the club’s medical staff and Mr. Brady.”

The New England Patriots denied he experienced any concussions with them except an ACL and MCL tear in 2008. Those injuries forced Brady to miss 15 games.

Brady talks about head injuries

After that, when Tampa Tom became the QB of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he revealed on The Howard Stern Show that he suffered major head injuries. Despite that, Brady never thought about quitting. Football is what he loves to do.

The legendary QB has notably not been diagnosed with concussions, as mentioned above. Even the NFL has tightened the rules around head injuries.

Maybe the supermodel wife of Tom Brady’s wishes will come true this season. As high speculation surrounding his retirement is on the rise. But fans think that Terrific Tom won’t stop unless he gets the eighth Super Bowl ring!
