Brittany Mahomes and her husband Patrick Mahomes have all the reasons to celebrate as they welcomed their second child. The Mahomes family welcomed a baby boy, Patrick Lavon III, who goes by the name ‘Bronze’. This news comes within 24 months of the couple having their first daughter, Sterling Mahomes, who was born to the couple in February 2021.

The elated mother shared a picture of both her kids on Instagram. This was the first time she posted about Bronze since her joint post welcoming the newborn with the Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback.

On Thursday, Brittany posted the first picture with both her kids on her Instagram story. Sterling Skye, 21 months, was cutely posing with her baby brother, Patrick Lavon III. Brittany, the ex pro soccer player, is now a mother of two children. She captioned her story “Truly been the best big sissy” and added a teary-eyes emoji.

She cutely caressed the little boy in her arms. While the newborn wasn’t seen, Sterling could be seen taking care of the baby by wrapping a blanket around him. Bronze wore a blue onesie. Seems like the QB is taking his time to introduce the newborn to the Red and Gold of Kansas.

Why did Patrick Mahomes choose the nickname ‘Bronze’ for his son?

The couple announced their milestone by posting the name of their newborn on Monday, the baby’s birth date, along with the birth details of their baby in the caption. The dynamic couple had announced their pregnancy earlier this year, in May. During these posts, Sterling had signs that read ‘Big sister duties coming soon.’ She certainly has lived up to her role designated by her parents, as seen in Brittany’s story. 

Moreover, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback revealed how the nickname ‘Bronze’ came up. Mahomes said that he wanted a forever bond between brother and sister, so he went ahead with Sterling and Bronze. Bronze shares the same official name as his father and grandfather. However, with this new nickname, the latest addition to the family could be on the way to paving his own legacy. Especially with those genes, it won’t be surprising if a ‘Bronze Mahomes’ is making headlines in the sports field in the future.
