According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, the franchise agreed to terms with the recently released Giants DB to fill one of the many voids on their roster. He is an important player for the Buccaneers, who can now replace the departing safety, Jordan Whitehead.
While Whitehead will be moving to the Jets, Ryan will be playing in his position for the franchise.

Logan Ryan was a third-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft for the then Tom Brady-led New England Patriots. The presence of history between them can only help lead their secondary in the upcoming season.
Is the Tom Brady influence guiding the Buccaneers during free agency?
The release of Ryan by the Giants is a surprising move by his old franchise and a brilliant signing for the Buccaneers looking to put a team around Brady. However, it seems Brady might be one of the bigger influences on the franchise’s decision to sign the veteran safety. The 7-time Super Bowl champion’s comeback to the league might be to win an astonishing 8th Super Bowl title.
