Lamar Jackson is already battling it out with the Baltimore Ravens over a contract extension this offseason. The saga has been going on for over a year and has no resolution in sight. But his newest beef isn’t with his franchise. Rather, it is with the social media behemoth Instagram. Jackson is trolling Instagram left and right as his grandmother faces verified badge issues.

The Ravens’ QB is looking for a new team to play for after demanding a trade away from Baltimore. He hasn’t got much attention in the market as the franchises patiently wait for the draft process to commence. But that battle is for another day as the dual-threat QB is at odds with Instagram over a verified badge for his grandmother.

Can anyone get the blue tick these days? 

Jackson sure thinks so. The QB expressed his shock at his grandmother receiving a blue tick on her Instagram, indicating that effectively rendered all other blue ticks worthless. The social media giant has apparently given Jackson’s grandma a blue check verified badge and the QB doesn’t look happy about it. For him, the blue badge is worthless now.

“Blue check on IG is worthless now My Grandma got a blue check. Grandma they don’t kno u making us look bull,” Jackson wrote in his Instagram story with some laughing emojis.

Social media companies give a blue check mark to users who are famous and acclaimed in their field. Many family members of famous personalities have gotten it in the past. So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if Jackson’s grandma got it. And it’s not like the QB wants Instagram to take it away from his grandmother. A little bit of fun at the expense of dear grandma is always worth it. But for now, he has bigger battles to fight.

The battle to move forward 

Lamar Jackson has been with the Ravens since 2018. He was thought to be the face of the franchise in the present and the future. But now, he is at odds with them over a long-term deal after finishing his rookie contract.

According to reports, Jackson wants a big chunk of his money to be under the guaranteed section of the contract. Ravens on the other hand aren’t prepared to give him what he wants as they have concerns regarding his fitness. The QB missed a major portion of the last two seasons.
