Aaron Rodgers had a phenomenal 2021 season with the Green Bay Packers. Starting from an upsetting offseason to a devastating season starter against the New Orleans Saints to claiming the No. 1 seed in the NFC and not to mention his fourth NFL MVP accolade. It was a truly magical campaign for the 38-year-old.

However, his Super Bowl thirst remains unquenched after he lost to the Jimmy G led San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round. Rodgers created quite a hype for his future with the Packers just like the year before but ended up signing a three-year deal with the franchise.

However, Rodgers’ contract says otherwise. Despite having a “year-by-year” kind of relationship with the Packers, the QB has signed a three-year deal with the franchise. Could it mean that Rodgers may end up switching teams after the 2022 season?

Who could be the successor to Rodgers?

Rodgers has been a pivotal player on the Packers roster ever since Brett Favre stepped out of his role. However, what will set the 38-year-old apart from his predecessor will be winning another championship with the Packers. But could it be assumed that his next Super Bowl in Green Bay would be his last with the franchise?

If so, then the Green Bay Packers would need to continue the QB momentum. When asked about such a situation the Packers CEO Mark Murphy turned to Jordan Love with no hesitation. Although being the QB2 of the Packers, Jordan has been a star in the making under the apprenticeship of great players and coaches.
