NFL franchise Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers was recently calling out the highly critical sportswriter award-voter Hub Arkush. Arkush was in full voice while claiming to refuse to vote for the reigning league MVP for his off-field issues.

According to Rodgers, Arkush’s major dispute is regarding the vaccination status of the Packers QB. The tension between the star and the sportswriter has given NFL fans worries over the legitimacy of the MVP award. While Arkush since his appearance on Chicago’s 670 radio show has retorted on his statement, the reverberations of his words can still be heard.

Rodgers further adds that the Chicago sportswriter knows nothing about him as a person. He also states that they never have met each other for an interview, and all this is Arkush’s way to gain mainstream attention. To simply summarize Rodgers in his own words, “I think he’s a bum. I think he’s an absolute bum. He doesn’t know me.”

During his appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers predicted the occurrence of such a backlash. Both Rodgers and McAfee talked about the bizarre vendettas that certain voters influence their vote against. McAfee even brings up Arkush’s past tweets berating Rodgers for his few shortcomings on a recent podcast.

The lack of faith and belief among NFL fans over Associated Press’ chosen voters has never been lower. According to McAfee, AP doesn’t possess know-how about football simply because they have snubbed deserving players in the past. Rodgers feels the situation is unfortunate for all parties involved and is disappointing.

During his scheduled news conference on Wednesday, he was mocking Arkush and commenting for renaming the award to ‘Most Valuable Vaccinated Player’. He expresses displeasure over Arkush’s attempts to draw negative press and collude to hamper his genuine chances of winning again.
