Aaron Rodgers led the Green Bay Packers to a comfortable 17-34 against the San Francisco 49ers win at Levi’s Stadium in Week 9. However, Head Coach Matt LaFleur will be more pleased by the one-man show put up by start wideout, Davante Adams.

The 2014 second-round draft pick was unstoppable on Thursday night. Adams registered 10 receptions for 173 yards and 1 receiving touchdown against Kyle Shanahan’s famed 49ers defense.

The 27-year-old is currently in a league of his own, especially after last night’s impressive performance. Adams is the first player in the Super Bowl era to register 50-plus receptions, 600-plus receiving yards, and 8-plus touchdowns in the first 6 games of an NFL season.

Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams, lead Green Bay Packers to a comfortable win

At present, Adams is considered to be one of the top wideouts in the league. He is right up there with the likes of Julio Jones, Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, and Keenan Allen.

However, when questioned in person, Adams claimed to be the ‘best wide receiver in the game’ this season. “I think that’s fair to say. That’s not being conceited. That’s just being confident.

“What I’ve done and what I’ll continue to do is going to prove that to anybody who isn’t on board,” Adams told ESPN’s Jason Wilde at the post-game press meet.

Here’s what Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said about his record-breaking teammate.

“He’s such a great player, he’s tough on matchups. He’s able to create so much space with his release pattern, and he’s got enough speed to get on top, so you can’t necessarily play low and expect certain routes.

“We hit him with a lot of different things tonight. Hit him on the first possession with a go ball that he made a nice adjustment on. On the last possession, we were in on an inside go route.

“He’s so talented. He can do it all, handles himself the right way. Just a joy to play with. A special guy,” Rodgers added via ESPN.

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are now 6-2 heading into Week 10. The Wisconsin-based franchise will be confident of sealing a playoff spot sooner rather than later.
