Former Dallas Cowboys star and Pro Bowl LB Jaylon Smith has left Green Bay Packers. The Packers signed him from Dallas last month. For the Packers, Smith clearly did not have the intended impact as he only recorded a meager 27 snaps in 2 games.

The former Dallas Cowboys second-round pick was deemed as a healthy scratch for the Packers’ last game against Arizona Cardinals, which was enough of an indication that his time with the Packers has come to a halt after a month.

Who else have the Green Bay Packers released?

Jalen Ramsey wasn’t the only player to have been released by the Green Bay Packers. Long snapper Hunter Bradley was the other casualty. Luckily for the Packers, they could sign his replacement in Steve Wirtel soon after. Owing to Jalen’s exit, the Packers still have an open spot.

If rumors are to be believed, the Packers may use that spot this week to activate tackle David Bakhtiari from the physically unable to perform list. Another change that the Packers might make with their lists is that of Receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Thanks to Marquez’s healthy recovery, the Packers might have to shift him from injured reserve to advance.

Green Bay Packers released Jaylon Smith after 27 snaps in 2 games

Reliable NFL Insider and ESPN journalist Adam Schefter last night broke the news of the Packers releasing Jaylon Smith. The release comes after the total linebacker’s dismal stint of 27 snaps for the Packers in 2 games.

Out of the 27 snaps, 17 came against the Chicago Bears in Week 6 and a dismal 10 against the Washington Football Team in Week 7. The Packers had signed him a month ago after Smith’s release from Dallas Cowboys.

NFL Twitter was both stunned and disappointed with this announcement. Here are some of the best reactions –
