Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III has shown how he isn’t afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve. The athlete-turned-analyst had another hot take on live TV recently. RG3 thinks he has the cure to the Packers’ miserable run of late. His recipe, however, was bold as he calls for the tweaking around of the Packers’ starting squad, including quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.

In his bold take, Griffin called for the benching of the MVP for the last two years. Aaron Rodgers has been playing with a broken thumb and the Packers’ record since his injury has been miserable. 

End of the Aaron Rodgers era?

Aaron Rodgers is just the second player to have four MVP awards to his name. However, this season has been everything but MVP for the quarterback. In their last outing, the Packers were handed a loss to the Super Bowl contenders, the Eagles.

Rodgers was average at best as he threw as many interceptions as he did touchdowns. With just two TD throws, his showing wasn’t good enough. This has been a recurring thing, and that’s probably why RG3 is being hard on the legendary quarterback.

“It Feels Good…”: Aaron Rodgers’ Backup Jordan Love Draws “Confidence” From Packers’ Misery

“Well, I think that the Packers should play Jordan Love but I don’t think they will,” said Griffin III as he thinks Jordan Love had a good showing in his minimal time on the field against the Eagles. 

Jordan Love threw for one touchdown in his short stint against the Eagles. Griffin III even recognized that his suggestion was extremely bold as he said, “I don’t think there’s anyone in that building that has the gonadz to tell Aaron Rodgers that he needs to sit down for the time being.”

However, he went on to say that this was the best way for the Packers to test Love and check whether he was their man for the future. 

Fans are in unison with RG3

With a comment as bold, it was shocking for Griffin III to not receive as much slack. It was surprising to see so many fans agreeing with him. 

This fan got straight to the point as he said the injury was not helping Rodgers and the Packers at all.

This fan’s futuristic approach was even more farfetched than RG3’s, as he went to the extent of the draft picks. Clearly, he has given up on their season.

Another fan said they had enough of Aaron Rodgers. They were ready to trade their star man to the Jets so the Packers could rebuild.

This fan, too, was ready for a change in the Packers’ camp. He has had enough of the current program.

With six games to go, the Packers are pretty much out of the postseason race. It will be up to their management to decide how they choose to carry out the progression of their future.

Aaron Rodgers has been one of the best players in franchise history. However, things aren’t looking very well for him.
