Aaron Rodgers was back in action over the weekend as the Green Bay Packers took on the mighty Miami Dolphins. The Packers have been different from the team they had been over the last two seasons. With their drop in form, the Cheeseheads have been scramming for a post-season push. However, witnessing their latest run in form, December has been a magical month for them. With Aaron Rodgers at the helm, they have managed to pull a rabbit out of the hat, closing December with a hundred percent win record. 

Aaron Rodgers outdid himself as the Packers secured a huge win on Christmas Day. With this win, the franchise not only increased their chances for the postseason but also ensured another record for the legendary quarterback.

Big Win for Green Bay

The Packers traveled south with very little going their way. However, with multiple things working in their favor, they will return to Wisconsin, high on confidence. Not many points separating the two teams, the Packers won the contest 26-20.

The veteran QB put on a show during the game as he made key passes in their attack. Though he finished the game completing 24 of 38 passes and a touchdown and interception each, his performance was much better than the stats can show for it.

Aaron Rodgers shows optimism for the future

Aaron Rodgers took to the podium post their big win in Miami, he answered a few questions from the press. The athlete was optimistic about the remainder of the season earlier this month too. The way the results for December paved out, reflects how his optimism has translated into leadership in the locker room.

He was also aware of how average their season had been. With a losing record, The Packers’ playoff fate was no more in their hands. “Considering where we were a few weeks ago, a lot has happened in our favor. All the games that needed to go a certain way, went a certain way,” said Rodgers. He reflected on his team’s performance and it looks like the Packers had saved their best for the last. “We played meaningful games in December, we won all three of those, now we’re playing meaningful games in January, we got to win those,” said the hopeful Rodgers.

The 7-8 Packers are tied with the Lions in their division. The two teams meet up next in January. A win against the Lions will be huge for their momentum as they are lined up to play the Vikings after. If the Packers are able to replicate their December performance, the playoffs will have Aaron Rodgers back in the mix this season.
