Gisele Bündchen and the Secret to Quality of Life

Bündchen grew up with five sisters, in Horizontina—a small rural town in southern Brazil. The Supermodel’s father was a teacher at the local University and instilled many of his teachings in his daughters as well. Even after tasting a certain degree of success, Bündchen still looked forward to going back and reconnecting to her roots. During one such visit, Victoria’s Secret model engaged in a rather insightful conversation with her father, while driving back from the airport.

“Gisele, at the end of your life, what will you remember? The house you lived in? The car you drove? The magazine covers you were on? He didn’t wait for an answer. No, he said. The quality of your life depends on the quality of your relationships.” said Bündchen’s father to her during the drive.

Gisele found herself deeply impacted by the comment and reflected back on it regularly throughout her life. The mother of two even termed her relationships with her then-husband and her children as the “biggest blessing of her life”

“Imagine how unhappy our lives would be if we spent all our time alone, with no one around us, no one to count on or share our experiences,” explains the supermodel while expressing her thoughts in her memoir.

Gisele’s biggest sacrifice

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have been together since 2007. Over the years, the couple has redefined the boundaries of togetherness while supporting each other in their professional careers. However, for a significant period of time, Bündchen put her carrier on hold for Brady’s.

Recounting her sacrifices over the years, Brady said during an interaction with Good Morning America, “I married someone that … I know is my life partner,” he said. “She’s just one of the most caring, nurturing people in the world. The way she takes care of our family when I’m working, sacrificing a lot of her dreams,”

There was a lot of tension between Brady and Gisele, largely stemming from his unwavering dedication to his NFL career. Gisele was hoping that Brady would prioritize their family, but rumors of his return to the Buccaneers only exacerbated the issue. However, things have since changed – Brady has officially retired from the NFL, while Gisele is actively climbing the ranks of the fashion industry.
