The Tennessee Titans are rebuilding their franchise for the 2023 season. Already at the top of their division, the franchise has an eye on the future. And taking a step-in direction, they fired the organization General Manager Jon Robinson. Robinson departs from Tennessee after seven seasons after helping build a Titans team to be feared in the division.

But the fans are happy seeing the back of a GM that they think is responsible for letting go of their best asset.

The NFL fans rejoiced and showed their support to the franchise for letting go of Jon Robinson. Most of the fans seemed mad at Robinson for refusing a contract extension with WR AJ Brown. The Titans trade Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for draft picks.

The Tennessee Titans became a regular feature in the NFL postseason in Robinson’s tenure. The team made it to the playoffs in four of his six seasons at Tennessee and had a record of 66 wins and 43 losses. But the Titans never really made it all the way. Franchise owner Amy Adams Strunk wants to change that.

“I am proud of what we have accomplished in my eight seasons of ownership, but I believe there is more to be done and higher aspirations to be met,” Adams said in a statement after letting Robinson go.

The Titans reached the AFC Championship game in the 2019 season where the Kansas City Chiefs defeated them. So, the team never really challenged for the ultimate prize. Even this season, although the Titans are at the summit of the AFC North divisional table, they don’t really look like a team capable of winning the Super Bowl. Where will the Titans finish this season? Will the reset work for the franchise next year?
