Assessment of Tom Brady

Ex-Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger thinks Tom Brady didn’t enjoy himself against them on Sunday. Speaking on his podcast ‘Footbahlin’, Roethlisberger said that he thought Brady would have loved to watch the game as a spectator.

“Tom is the greatest. The Super Bowl rings show it,” Roethlisberger said.

“It looked like he didn’t want to be out there. Maybe it was the pressure, and he was getting hit and whatever was going on,” he went on to say about Brady’s performance against the Steelers.

“There’s no way he’s enjoying this. No way. … It just didn’t look fun for him,” the ex-quarterback gave his assessment of the situation during Sunday’s game.

He also went on to say that Brady’s frustration could have been due to brilliant plays by the Steelers’ defense. All in all, he admitted that whom the world saw on Sunday was a different Tom Brady.

Steelers frustrate the Buccaneers

The Buccaneers entered the season as one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl. But the season so far hasn’t panned out exactly like that for them. The Buccaneers had won three out of their five games before traveling to the Steelers‘ home. And they were the favorites to take home the win.

Tom Brady attended New England Patriots chief Robert Kraft’s wedding a night before the final practice day. He skipped practice and met the team in Pittsburgh instead of traveling with the team.

The Steelers were playing without some of their starting players. Despite that, a second-string Steelers put up a great show. So much so that they managed to emerge victorious. The final scoreline read 20-18 in the Steelers’ favor. The Buccaneers dropped to a 3-3.

Brady managed to throw a decent 243 yards but could affect only one touchdown. He shouted at his teammates at one point, urging them to play better. It did have an immediate impact as the subsequent drive cut the deficit to one at half-time. However, the meltdown didn’t result in a victory and was also criticized by fans.

The Buccaneers will take on the Carolina Panthers in the next game. They would like to bounce back and keep their position at the top of the NFC South table. Will they be able to?
