Few players can stake the claim of winning Super Bowls in successive seasons. But running back LeSean McCoy did just that last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In 2019, the veteran won his first ring with the Kansas City Chiefs. And joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a free agent in 2020, he went on to add another ring for his personal cabinet.

A former 2-time All-Pro, McCoy was one of the best. But with time, age seems to have caught up with the running back. whose output has taken quite a hit.

Now 32 and once again a free agent, McCoy recently talked about his experience of playing alongside another player who, much like him, has achieved the Super Bowl double.

And that player is none other than Buccaneers QB Tom Brady

Brady’s intensity key to Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ success

Appearing on Catching Fades, hosted by former NFL cornerback Aqib Talib, McCoy shared his experience of being in the same locker room as Tom Brady. And it seems the running back was pleasantly surprised by Brady’s demeanor off the field.

“He different. Like the thing with him is he is really cool. He joked with me, we talked about sports, we talked about rap. You get in there are you don’t know what to expect. I met him a couple of times before but he was different,” said McCoy.

“I’ve never seen somebody so prepared. Like at the beginning of the year he was intense… We get to the playoffs. The intensity jumps up even more. And then the Super Bowl. He was like crazy different. I mean, it can’t be any other level. It’s just a whole another level.”

While McCoy is no longer in the mix, the Bucs still have sufficient talent to manage their ground game. With players like Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones II, the franchise is still a formidable force while carrying the rock.
