NFL demands high levels of intensity and gamesmanship. The same can be said about players who go above and beyond in trying to make their teams win. Therefore, it’s only natural that NFL athletes get fired up prior to matches and training. Sometimes, the extra adrenaline rush and high testosterone levels can also end up in arguments. Recently, a Las Vegas Raiders defensive end has come under the scanner for throwing punches.

The incident transpired during one of the joint practice sessions earlier this week. The highly-covered and talked about event brought the DE into the news once again. With teams looking to get the juices flowing ahead of the new season, Maxx Crosby got into an ugly spat with the Rams OT. This, however, isn’t Crosby’s first fight.

Put them in a cage! One of the two leading NFL players might need a different format after their recent spat. During a practice session between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Los Angeles Rams, things escalated due to a peculiar event. Raiders stalwart defensive end Maxx Crosby and Rams running back Cam Akers got into a brawl and exchanged punches. Speaking on the same, Crosby mentioned “S*** I was just doing what I do. He didn’t like that. So he got what he got.”

The tattooed DE didn’t mince any words and looked ready for an MMA match while answering the media. The fight although intense was of varying proportions. Crosby stands at 6ft 5 inches with 255 pounds and Akers is 5 ft 10 inches weighing 215 pounds.

The fight wasn’t about just punches and involved some running as well as chasing. Spectators saw Crosby run 25 yards in chasing the running back Akers in what is being deemed as an attempt to catch the ball. This isn’t the first time that the 2X Pro Bowl has gotten into a fight.

Maxx Crosby nearly nails the boxer look. With massive tattoos covering his upper frame, he loves showing his aggression on the field as well. The star Raiders DE headbutted the Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes. On recalling the incident, Crosby vividly explained “Mahomes was talking back like…’ Aye, what’s up?’ And so, they went down and scored,” “And I’m standing and watching, and they were all running in the end zone. I get bumped behind my back and get hit with a shoulder.” He has also responded to Mahomes on another occasion as well.

Known for his chirpy nature, the 2X First-Team All-Mac didn’t spare his own team’s QB. Jimmy Garropolo and Maxx Crosby got into an ugly banter during the practice session earlier this month. However, this time the QB got into the head of Crosby through his chatter. Crosby pointed out that Garoppolo loves talking s*** during workouts and even during practice sessions. So when the DE tried giving it back and went against the team’s rules. Crosby was punished with an extra lap for the same.

These incidents show DE’s lost temper. Hopefully, when the season starts, Crosby will reply with his performances and keep the fights to a minimum.
