Bill Belichick was full of praise for the Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields ahead of their clash with his Patriots. He called Fields “a major threat every time he touches the ball.” The NFL world had a good laugh as the Patriots had just demolished the Cleveland Browns in game week six. On the other hand, the Bears have lost each of their last three games.

The Patriots demolish the Browns

It was the second straight big win for the Patriots as they ran riot to demolish the Browns 38-15. They had shut out the Detroit Lions the previous week and won the game 29-0.

The Patriots were playing without their starting QB Mac Jones who is out due to an ankle injury. Rookie QB Bailey Zappe deputized for Jones and had a great game. He completed 24 passes out of 34 attempts in the game. Zappe managed to throw 309 yards and pass two touchdowns to lead his team to victory.

The Browns QB Jacoby Brissett had a game to forget as he threw two interceptions against the Patriots. He could complete just 21 of his 45 pass attempts and threw 266 yards. Only one of his passes resulted in a touchdown.

Now the Patriots will take on the Bears at home and Belichick has already started working to neutralize the threat from Fields and his offensive line. The 3-3 Patriots would like to continue their winning run and climb up the AFC East table, on which they currently sit last. The 2-4 Bears would like to make their way back to winning after three back-to-back losses.
