Herm Edwards had strong opinions on the matter. Featured on SportsCenter, the former Jets HC, and NFL analyst expressed that Russell Wilson would benefit the most from the Broncos’ new hire.

He said, “He’s been thrown a lifeline with Sean Payton being his head coach and I’m pretty sure Sean Payton has watched film on Russell Wilson and felt ‘You know what? I can help this guy and he can help me'” Edwards also factored in a trait he sees as important- humility.
