The future for Kliff Kingsbury

Kliff Kingsbury had a rather dismal record as the Cardinals’ head coach. In his four seasons in charge, the Cardinals reached the NFL postseason only once. After Kingsbury guided the franchise to a playoff berth in 2021, hopes were high for the 2022 season. But it all went downhill from the start.

The Cardinals finished dead last in the NFC West table with an overall record of 4-13. And the franchise cut ties with its head coach as soon as the regular season ended. But here is the catch. They signed a new contract with Kingsbury just at the end of last season when the Cardinals lost the wildcard playoff round to the Los Angeles Rams. So, he is sorted for money till 2027.

But will he return to coaching soon? Kingsbury has turned down a few OC jobs in the league and is probably waiting for a better opportunity. He might get one in the offseason. Or he might decide to sit out the next season if nothing of his liking happens. Either way, he has Veronica Bielik by his side through thick and thin.
