Things have been going from bad to potentially a lot worse for Washington Commanders’ owner Dan Snyder. The franchise owner may face some serious complications from the NFL. The advertising executive is having a significant swarm of fuss involving him. Although, this is not the first time that Snyder has been called out before.
A decade ago, one of the team’s HOF Running Back laments his role as the owner of the franchise. RB John Riggins, the Super Bowl 17 MVP, is someone who puts in most of his career with the Washington Commanders (previously Redskins).

The two-time rushing touchdowns leader has been open to criticism regarding his handling of the Washington franchise. In recent times, Riggins isn’t happy with the Washington team’s new moniker, calling the team’s rebrand “completely disenfranchised.”

John Riggins, the HOF running back for the Washington Redskins, once spoke out regarding franchise owner Daniel Snyder. The interview, taken back in the year 2009, states why he believes Snyder has a dark heart.

In the interview, Riggins considers the Washington team is owned by a bad guy. He says that the probable reason is because of his business tactics. Even though they were not unethical, they did not think of it as a location or an atmosphere in which individuals might succeed. Everything has to originate from him, and it’s primarily motivated by his ego.

Washington Commanders in for added trouble?
After the moniker change, the Washington Commanders recently gain Carson Wentz from the Indianapolis Colts in a big trade. The Commanders also offered to trade for Russell Wilson but got turned down by the Seattle Seahawks, owing to Wilson’s refusal to relinquish his no-trade provision to serve in Washington. The Commanders were eager for a senior quarterback. However, slight turmoils surrounding Dan Snyder have been some problems for the team.

It’s a never-ending spiral regarding Snyder, and supporters have often speculated that the longer he oversees the club, Washington would not have genuine success. That the GM Martin Mayhew or world-class players they manage to lure in regardless of the head coach, even one as the successful, Ron Rivera. Snyder’s shenanigans will always find some way to deplete the team’s divine spark.
