Apart from the Niners fans, many of them could not believe that McCaffrey went to the San Francisco team.

During this offseason, they lost Robert Saleh to the Jets, Mike McDaniel to the Dolphins, and Martin Mayhew to the Commanders.

However, the Panthers were looking for a first-round pick during this trade and they had only the Rams and the 49ers as options. In the end, the Niners had better deals to offer to the Panthers, the Carolina side will receive a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, a 2023 third-round pick, a 2023 fourth-round pick, and a 2024 fifth-round pick.

Meanwhile, McCaffrey has already traveled to San Francisco and will soon join the team. This Sunday, the 49ers are going to play against the Chiefs, and many experts believe he will start this game and the Niners will likely use him in a red zone package.
