“How about 50?” – Patrick Mahomes Shoots Down Retirement Plan Question in Recent Interview

AFC West franchise Kansas City Chiefs made their way to the Super Bowl LIV trophy in 2019. It was quarterback Patrick Mahomes who starred for Andy Reid’s team as they defeated the San Francisco 49ers in the season. Mahomes started the 2020 campaign in the same fashion as the Chiefs prepared for a title defence.

However, Tom Brady-led Tampa Bay Buccaneers put up a superb all-around display as they beat the defending champions by a comprehensive 9-31 scoreline. Despite the loss, coach Reid and his boys are determined to bounce back in 2021.

Patrick Mahomes intends to play football till he is in his late 40’s

Speaking to reporters amidst the ongoing preseason, 2018 NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes was asked about his future plans. The California-born superstar signed a mammoth 10-year extension with the Chiefs last year. As per that deal, Mahomes will remain in Missouri until 2034.

But when asked if he wants to hang up his boots by then. here’s what he responded. “At 45? I’ll still be playing football…How ’bout 50?”

The 2019 Super Bowl MVP further spoke about his golf aspirations. “Driving is cool, but you make a nice putt, 15 or 20 feet? There’s no better feeling in the entire world,” Mahomes added via arrowheadpride.com.
