Jerry Jones is known for creating an empire out of a loss-making franchise, the Dallas Cowboys. After his purchase of the team, the Cowboys went on a Super Bowl winning spree which has made Jones arguably the most competitive owner in the NFL of all time and the most successful one in Dallas.
Had it not been because of his Arkansas Razorbacks teammate Jimmy Johnson, who was the first head coach of the Dallas Cowboys under the ownership of Jerry Jones, the franchise wouldn’t have gotten the necessary push. With Johnson as the Head Coach, the Cowboys claimed two Super Bowls back to back (1992-1993 seasons). However, after winning the Super Bowl XXVIII in 1994, Johnson and Jones parted ways after friction between the two.
